Ingredients

Walking s'mores
  • 4 snack-size bag Golden Grahams cereal Use snack-size bags of Golden Grahams cereal (or similar). Keep cereal in the bag.
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows Measure 1 cup total and divide among the bags.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Measure 1 cup total and divide among the bags.

Method

Prepare the bags
  1. Carefully open each snack-size bag of Golden Grahams cereal without removing the cereal.
  2. Add mini marshmallows and chocolate chips into each opened bag, filling them evenly.
  3. Seal the bags loosely or roll down the top so the contents can warm and melt without spilling.
Melt at the campfire
  1. Place the bags near (not directly on) campfire heat for 3-5 minutes, rotating occasionally so the chocolate melts evenly.
  2. Warm until the chocolate chips and marshmallows have melted, then mix by gently shaking the bag.
Serve
  1. Eat the warm s’mores mixture with a spoon or directly from the bag while it’s melted.

Notes

Pro tip: keep the bags slightly away from direct flames so the cereal warms through instead of scorching. Refrigerate leftovers in the sealed bag or transfer to a container for up to 2 days; re-warm gently near low heat until loose again. Freezing isn’t recommended because marshmallows can turn grainy after thawing. For a dietary swap, use dairy-free chocolate chips and dairy-free mini marshmallows to make it dairy-free.
