Ingredients

Campfire S'mores Dip
  • 2 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 Graham crackers for dipping

Equipment

  • 1 cast iron skillet

Method

Assemble in the skillet
  1. Spread chocolate chips in the bottom of a cast iron skillet in an even layer.
  2. Top the chocolate evenly with mini marshmallows so they cover the surface.
Melt and toast over the fire
  1. Place the skillet on a campfire grate over medium heat, or suspend it over coals, and cook for 8-10 minutes until the chocolate is melted and the marshmallows are golden and toasted (look for browned peaks).
Serve
  1. Remove the skillet from the heat and serve immediately with graham crackers for dipping.

Notes

Pro tip: Keep the heat at true medium so the marshmallows toast without scorching the chocolate; if flames flare, move the skillet slightly away from the hottest coals. Store leftovers in the fridge up to 2 days and rewarm gently to loosen the chocolate. Freezing isn’t recommended because marshmallows can turn grainy after thawing. For a lower-sugar swap, use reduced-sugar chocolate chips and plain mini marshmallows where available.
